Antarctica
About this itinerary
Antarctica. A trip of a dream, which at first is difficult to even think about. A trip of great distances, difficulties and restrictions. A trip at the cost of a good car. A trip embarked on by travel connoisseurs striving to find something new on the planet that might impress them. But here is the irony: instead of bread and circuses, they get moderation.
It is almost impossible to get to Antarctica on your own. For this you need your own vessel, lots of permits, licenses and money. Therefore, 99% of people end up in Antarctica as part of an organized group. Our trip was organized by Bodo Travel. And the actual cruise was carried out by Poseidon, which has been organizing cruises to Antarctica and the North Pole for more than 20 years.
Of course, such a trip is not cheap, but in this diary I will share with you a real lifehack on how to save several thousand euros on tickets to Antarctica.
You can watch my YouTube film about the trip, then come back here to read a more detailed trip diary - with organization tips, lifehacks, thoughts and information about each of the Antarctic locations we visited.
Season: December-January
Average budget per person: 10,000 euros (without flight cost)
